Medical escorts can be provided to individuals that do not require transportation but need medical assistance enroute to their treatment destination. This is most important when a patient may need medical procedures such as injections or oxygen during or to their destination.
Ground Transportation
Once a flight has reached its destination, regardless whether this is a donated or commercial flight, we can arrange for ground transportation from the airport to the treatment center. The type of ground transportation is determined by the needs of the patient which means that it can either be an ambulance, shuttle or taxi for example.
CHARITY FLIGHTS
FOOTPRINTS in the SKY relies on a nationwide network of approximately 2,500 charter and corporate aircraft. From this resource, we provide donated transportation for ambulatory ( able to walk onto an aircraft ) patients needing treatment at medical facilities in the United States. The nature of a person’s medical condition is not a determining factor for eligibility to fly with FOOTPRINTS in the SKY, and we do everything in our power to match up donated aircraft flights with the time constraints and destinations of patients. We are committed first and foremost to safety, with emphasis on efficiency of operation and service to our patients.
AIR AMBULANCE
FOOTPRINTS in the SKY is committed to listening to our patients and their representatives and helping them through their journeys in a compassionate and productive manner.
From information gathered along the way, we may determine that an Air Ambulance is required for a trauma or critical/non-critical patient. Consequently, drawing on our considerable experience and resources, we are able to make all arrangements necessary that will ensure the patient is placed on a safe and compatible Air Ambulance flight. IT SHOULD BE NOTED HERE that FOOTPRINTS in the SKY only works with reputable Air Ambulance companies that have demonstrated a high standard of
performance, particularly in the areas of safety and employment of qualified pilots and medical personnel.
